Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 25, 2026

Hi there! Welcome to LyndaRecipes (https://www.lyndarecipes.com/).

I respect your privacy and am committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect when you visit my site, how I use it, and how I keep it safe.

If you have any questions after reading this, just shoot me an email at [email protected].

1. Information We Collect

Like almost every other website on the internet, I use something called “log files.” This isn’t anything scary it’s just standard technology that helps me understand how people use my site so I can make it better.

Here is what that includes:

  • Your IP address (which tells me roughly where in the world you are visiting from).
  • Which browser you are using (like Chrome or Safari).
  • The time you visited and which pages you looked at.

Important: None of this information is linked to your name, address, or anything that personally identifies you as an individual. I just use it to see things like, “Oh, a lot of people are looking for chicken recipes right now!”

2. Cookies (Not the Edible Kind!)

Yes, we use cookies. These are tiny files stored on your browser that remember your preferences. For example, if you leave a comment, a cookie might remember your name so you don’t have to type it again next time.

I also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to help me see which recipes are popular. This data is anonymous and helps me decide what to cook next!

3. Ads and How They Work

To keep this blog running and free for you, I show advertisements.

  • Google AdSense: I use Google AdSense to display ads. Google uses special “DART cookies” to show you ads based on sites you’ve visited before.
  • Opt-Out: If you don’t want Google to track this, you can turn it off by visiting the Google Ad Settings page.

I do not control the cookies used by these advertisers. If you want more details, check out Google’s own privacy policy.

4. Pinterest & Social Media

I love Pinterest! I use a “Pinterest Tag” on my site. This helps me track if my Pinterest ads are working. It might collect data about what you view here so I can show you better pins later.

This data is anonymous to me, but Pinterest might save it to your profile. You can change your settings directly in your Pinterest account if you want to turn this off.

5. Your Rights (CCPA & GDPR)

Depending on where you live, you have specific rights over your data.

If you are in California (CCPA):

  • You can ask me what personal data I have about you (usually none, unless you emailed me!).
  • You can ask me to delete it.
  • You can ask me not to “sell” your data (I don’t sell your data anyway, but you have the right to ask!).

If you are in Europe (GDPR):

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • You can object to me processing your data.

If you want to exercise any of these rights, please email me at [email protected] and I’ll get back to you within one month.

6. Children’s Privacy

My website is about food and cooking, not for kids. I do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided personal info on my site, please contact me immediately and I will remove it.

7. Changes to This Policy

I might update this policy from time to time as the blog grows. I advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
