Ingredients
3 cups seedless watermelon chunks
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar
10 fresh mint leaves
2 cups cold water
1 cup ice
Mint sprigs and watermelon wedges for garnish
Instructions
1. Blend watermelon chunks until completely smooth
2. Strain watermelon juice into a large pitcher
3. Add lemon juice, sugar, mint leaves, and cold water and stir until sugar dissolves
4. Muddle the mint gently in the pitcher for extra aroma
5. Add ice, garnish with mint sprigs and watermelon wedges, and serve
Notes
Freeze watermelon in advance and blend for a slushy version
Adjust sugar to taste — ripe watermelon needs very little added sweetness
