Tropical Coconut Brazilian Lemonade

  • Author: LyndaKitchen

Description

Tropical Coconut Brazilian Lemonade takes the beloved creamy classic and whisks it straight to the tropics. You swap regular water for rich coconut milk and add a splash of coconut cream, creating a lush, island-inspired drink that layers bright lime tartness with deep, toasty coconut sweetness. Every sip feels like a vacation in a glass — and it still comes together in under five minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

4 small Persian limes, quartered (unpeeled)

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk, chilled

¼ cup coconut cream

1 cup cold water

2 cups ice cubes

Pinch of salt

Toasted coconut flakes and lime slices for garnish

Instructions

1. Wash the limes thoroughly under cold running water, scrubbing the skin clean.

2. Cut each lime into 4 to 6 wedges, keeping the peel on.

3. Add the lime wedges, sweetened condensed milk, chilled coconut milk, coconut cream, cold water, and a pinch of salt to a blender.

4. Blend on high speed for exactly 5 seconds — stop before the peel turns the drink bitter.

5. Set a fine-mesh strainer over a large pitcher and pour the blended mixture through it, pressing gently to release all the liquid.

6. Discard the solids left in the strainer.

7. Add ice cubes to the pitcher and stir gently to combine.

8. Pour into tall glasses filled with ice, top with toasted coconut flakes, garnish with a lime slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use full-fat coconut milk straight from the fridge — the cold temperature keeps the drink extra creamy and frothy.

Do not blend longer than 5 seconds or the white pith will release bitterness into the drink.

Coconut cream adds richness — if you prefer a lighter drink, replace it with an equal amount of coconut water.

For a boozy version, add 2 oz of white rum or coconut rum per glass before serving.

This drink separates quickly — serve right away and stir if it sits for more than a few minutes.

Store any leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 24 hours and shake well before drinking.
